With the release of HDDSYNC, our technical staff has reached a significant level of expertise on yet unsuccessful work on failed hard drives. Now, you can benefit from this expertise by subcontracting your crashed hard drives with seized bearings. You will then be able to recover data from drives which were previously deemed irrecoverable, therefore increasing your revenues without investing in the HDDSYNC device.

This HDDSYNC service is available for the following hard drives with seized bearings : Maxtor , Hitachi, Samsung, Seagate 7200.11, Seagate 7200.12 (from 500 Go to 2 To).

Why choose the service solution ?

  • such failed hard drives are not that common : using the HDDSYNC device requires some practice, and investing in the product should be assessed with a cost vs benefits approach
  • the product set up requires a specific environment. The HHDSYNC device can’t be used within a laminar flow hood for stability and sturdiness reasons.

Our testing offer

As a way of demonstrating HDDSYNC capabilities, we offer a special data recovery service as a test for a cost of 900.00 $ (650.00 €), no diagnosis fee charged, provided that the hard drive has not been impacted, with no scratches, no finger marks, or has not been opened with several actions already engaged. This offer is limited : one hard drive per one data recovery company at a specific address. Please fill out the shipping form for this test, print it and send it with the damaged hard drive.

Regular service

For current requests regarding seized HD or failed motors, the cost of the HDDSYNC service is set at 1 300.00 $ (900.00 €) if the data recovery process is fully successful.

We have a detailed procedure :

  1. After speaking to an InVirtuel HDDSYNC service representative, you will be confirmed the quote for a seized hard drive (Seagate, Maxtor, Samsung, Hitachi).
  2. Fill out the required paperwork (shipping form) and ship your damaged media to InVirtuel’s lab. In order to speed up the process, please provide any required part on a spare HD for the recovery operation or we will pass the order for these parts payable by the customer. If this spare HD is not required for parts, we will use it whenever possible to send you the recovered data back.
  3. We will enter your job into our system and send you an email notifying you that the media has arrived safely.
  4. You will also receive an email with a username and password to track the status of your data recovery job along the way easily.
  5. Our technicians will diagnose your drive. The cost of the diagnosis is 70.00 $ (49.00 €) without the hard drive being sent back, or 180.00 $ (130.00 €) with the hard drive returned including reassembly and transport fees. Should the data be recovered with HDDSYNC, you will be refunded this diagnosis fee. Average processing time : 7 business days (5 in France).
  6. Before making the decision to proceed with the recovery, we will provide you with a file listing all the recovered data, using Datamap, our proprietary software.
  7. After reviewing the file listing and approving, we will go ahead and put the recovered data on another form of media for you.
  8. We will then ship the data back to you.
